Job description:
We are not a contract/staffing company. We are an in-house provider of rehab (our parent company, Extendicare, owns the buildings), so there is no chance of a lost contract. Come to a company that values quality patient care over productivity/revenue!

Most of our settings are large post-acute (transitional care) sites – some with wellness units, attached outpatient units and ALFs. Our focus is on increasing their functional levels and returning the patients home (“rehab to home”). In certain areas, we also have free standing outpatient ortho clinics.

Facility description:
Golden Valley Rehab & Care Ctr is a leading provider of short-term rehab. Our 180 bed facility offers a full continuum of care to the post acute patients, including a 36 bed TCU, 22 bed bariatric unit, attached ALF & two therapy gyms. We have nearly 20 therapists on our team, achieving high functional gains with these clinically complex patients. From young adults to geriatrics, we have a caseload that provides daily intrigue and challenges to our well seasoned therapists. Our therapy program includes computerized documentation, pulmonary wellness unit, ADL kitchen, Vital Stim, ACP, Wii gaming, wound care, head injury & trauma patients.

Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Due to the volume of clinically complex patients on our caseload, we are looking for experienced clinicians to join our team. Preference given to applicants with recent acute care & TCU skills along with PAMs certification. Our patient population is diverse – patients of all ages, not just geriatrics – and we see a wide variety of diagnosis – from same day surgeries & trauma events to bariatric patients.

TITLE: OTR
SUMMARY OF POSITION: To provide occupational therapy services in compliance with state and federal regulations. Direction and supervision of Occupational Therapist Assistants as indicated.

Essential Functions (But not limited to)
1. Provide evaluation and treatment of movement and cognitive disorders in
accordance with physician orders.
2. Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy.
3. Compliance with federal and state regulations, professional guidelines and
code of ethics for the profession of occupational therapy and provision of
occupational therapy services.

Essential Qualifications (But not limited to)
1. Graduate of accredited entry level occupational therapy program.
2. State credentialing /licensure as required.
3. Synthesis of knowledge related to anatomy, physiology, and pathology for effective evaluation and treatment of movement and cognitive disorders.
4. Collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team in delivery of patient care to maximize functional outcomes.
